"Random World" isn't really random besides what levels the ship pieces are located, thats about it. Each level is different, but at the same time the same. Not the best, not the worst I've played or seen. And of course your Up,Down,Left,Right and Start pauses the game. Not hard to figure out or use, maybe too simple. Some of the sounds like when you level up or get hurt or fall are priceless.įairly simple control system, A to creep by Earthling like your tippy toeing around, B ope ns the menu for the presents, and C opens, throws away presents and whatnot. The music is not repeative, almost every level has its' own music. Very cool.It's really funny to hear them say ''Hubbu hubbu'', ''MONEY!'', or them screaming ''WAKE UP!!!'' or the sounds the Earthlings make. Going around level after level looking for pieces of your spaceship to get back home.Along the way, you have to avoid the Earthlings that seem to get in your way, the moldy or bad foods, and collect lots of presents that are oddly wraped like it was Christmas or a birthday. I picked this gem of a title up at a second hand store and I was amused and amazed at the point of this game. Random maps and object locations help ensure that every game is a new experience. Once you've found all the pieces of the ship, don't assume the fun is over. Players can also help one another by "high-fiving" characters to share life bars. Two players can play simultaneously on the same screen, but if one decides to explore on his or her own, the screen will split into two views. The presents contain objects to help you, including an Inner Tube to cross water, Super Hi-Tops to move rapidly across the screen, Icarus Wings to fly, Tomatoes and Slingshots to hurl at enemies, Spring Shoes to jump high in the sky, and Rocket Skates to blast over chasms. The game is played from a three-quarter overhead perspective as you walk around trying to avoid getting attacked by the Earthlings.
To exit the level, simply find the elevator that will move you up to the next stretch of land.
Now they have to find the ten missing pieces of their ship so they can return home!Ĭhoose either pot-bellied Earl or three-legged ToeJam and get ready to explore levels filled with presents, food to replenish health, comical Earthlings, and hopefully a piece of the craft.
