The dude looks like an NPC invader you can find anywhere else in the game and the battle also reuses enemies from the area around. Boss fights: the one with the dude and the wolves below the colisseum is just bad. The prime example of this is the final room full of flies. I also thought, in these games, they were smartly placed around the maps. They are no fun to fight, they are too strong (those viking guys, for example) or they are too weak (wolves/flies). I get this may be in the DNA of the series somehow, but in the case of this DLC it is something really really blatant. Enemies: they are there just to bother you. Not to mention the location is at times just ugly to look at.

Level design: I found it really uninspired, with many dead-ends and with really intricate sections (the one after the village in the snow particularly), that were no fun to explore. Let me say what I didn´t like about it, that funnily enough, I think it is what usually makes these games great: Just before beating the final boss of the game I decided to dive in the DLCs so I started Ashes of Ariandel. I dunno if I tend to overpower my character, but well, that´s another story. This summer I started playing Dark Souls III, and while I enjoyed mi time with it, I started to notice once you know how to play these games, when you know the drill to say, you play them like "you have already been there" with a memory-muscle at full force, because let´s be honest here, these games all play the same (more or less, of course). I liked the more action-focused approach and I really was challenged by the DLC bosses, to end up beating them. One of the best PS4 games hands-down and one with the best atmosphere ever. Then my second game in this series was Bloodborne. I finished the DLC included in the game as well.

I liked the level design above all, and how it was all connected. I started with Dark Souls Remastered on Switch and wow, it was such a demanding but rewarding experience. My experience with the Soulsborne "series" has been quite a pleasant one.
